Jump to our new motherboard "ASUS CROSSHAIR II FORMULA" This motherboard is quite brand new and superb model from ASUS.
You may have not seen any review of this product before ^^ ! , or maybe ASUS themselves didn't have full information about this product.

                  Before looking at the motherboard , We would like to introduce new technology called "Hybrid" from "nVidia" ....approximately .. Hybrid Means it self as integrate. So nVidia use this word to name their new technology. It was the integrate of Onboard GPU and external GPU that combine divisibly.
nVidia did it in two types , for different working subject ..

              -- Nvidia GeForce Boost Function Require GeForce 8500GT or 8400GS to work and it will increase the GPU's Performance. After GeForce Boost were activated

              -- Nvidia Hybrid Power Function Require GeForce 9800GX2 or 9800GTX to work....This will save more energy if GraphicCard were in IDLE process.
(780a SLI Chipset will handle all of the simple GPU load to save more energy).

                  These two working process based on nVidia Hybrid SLI Technolygy. This is quite a interesting for our planet "Earth".
In our age , it was high-technology generation .. almost all of the tecnology destroying the world slowly but this technology helps the earth by saving energy. Unfortunately today we didn't have 8500GT or 8400GS in our hand ... so we can't test the Hybrid SLI Technology. But we promise.... someday you will see our Hybrid SLI Technology here at OverclockZone.

Motherboard 's PCB is Standard ATX size , Colored black as ASUS's style.
Socket and slots were Colored Blue&White , same as other model of R.O.G. motherboard. All of the Capacitors are Solid (Solid Capacitors).
Heatsinks were connected by heatpipe from mosfets , northbridge and southbridge.

From the back... Under CPU's socket there is one plastic sheet used to lock the heatsinks more tightly.
Also Northbridge , Southbridge ... there is aluminum sheet to pushing two heatsinks more tightly.

At the CPU Socket's area , it looks quite fit ! .... but no problem working on with it (except when installing heatsinks !)
according to this ... socket locker on the northbridge side....may hit the northbridge heatsinks ... when installing the CPU heatsinks.

This Motherboard support all CPUs that is AM2 or even AM2+

There is 8+2 Phases working on CPU & Memory Controller
(8Phases for CPU & 2Phases for Memory Controller in Socket 940CPUs)

Memory Socket Colored White - Blue
Support memory upto 8GB(Maximum) , running at bus 400 , 533 , 667 , 800 , 1066.
Ecc - NonECC is Okay. If you want to make your memory running in dual - channel mode , you've got to install your memory to blue slot... and if you got four sticks of ram it will work as dual - channel too.

There are two PCI-E x1 Slots , Three PCI-Ex16 PCI-E x16 Slots and Two PCI Slots
all of them were placed alternately (if using large VGA).
If you're using only one VGA card... you should install your card in to the first or last blue slots to run at x16.
If using two or more VGA card... any would be okay !. (if use tri-sli the two bottom would be devided in to x8 each !)
and thats mean using Tri-SLI would running at x16 - x8 - x8 ..

One IDE Connector were provided and Six Serial - ATA Connector.
Also again .... they provided us with Floppy connector (If we still using it).

Clear CMOS Switch , PS/2 Keyboard Port , Coaxial S/PDIF Out port , VGA or RGB Port , HDMI Port ,
LAN 1/2 ( RJ-45 ) Port , IEEE 1394a Port and 6 USB Port

This part... If you wanted to use Hybrid SLI or nVidia Geforce Boost ... You must connect you monitor to
HDMI Port , HDMI to DVI Port or VGA Only .. or the image wouldnot be shawn. or even your graphic card were installed
(First you've got to enable Hybrid SLI function in the Bios.)
