ตั้งแต่มันหายไปในช่วง P4 รหัส NorthWood ช่วงนั้น HT ยังอาจเป็นเพียง สิ่งที่เรียกว่า ออฟชั่นเล็กน้อย ที่แถมมา หรือ เป็นเพียงแค่ ความฝัน

In order to use parallel threads, certain resources—such as registers—must be duplicated. Other resources are shared by the two threads, and that includes all the out-of-order execution logic (the instruction reorder buffer, the execution units, and cache memory). A simple observation led to the introduction of SMT: the “wider” (meaning more execution units) and “deeper” (meaning more pipeline stages) processors become, the harder it is to extract enough parallelism to use all the execution units at each cycle. Where the Pentium 4 was very deep, with a pipeline having more than 20 stages, Nehalem is very wide. It has six execution units capable of executing three memory operations and three calculation operations. If the execution engine can’t find sufficient parallelism of instructions to take advantage of them all, “bubbles”—lost cycles—occur in the pipeline.

QPI นั้น แรงกว่า HTT3.0 โดยที่สเป็ค QPI 4.8 - 6.4 Ghz HTT3.0 3.6 - 4.0 Ghz

แต่

Memory Controller ที่ใช้ Tri ch นั้น กลับทำได้ดีกว่า AMD ในปัจจุบัน (Phenom) อาจเป็นเพราะ 2 Ch Vs 3 Ch และ DDR2 Vs DDR3

เลยทำให้ Mem Con ของ Intel มีประสิทธภาพดีกว่า




ตอนนี้ Intel Core i7 เรียกได้ว่า

ไม่มีจุดอ่อน

ทางด้านประสิทธภาพ ผมยังมองไม่ออกว่า จุดอ่อนอยู่ตรงไหน

แต่ ถ้าไม่ใช่ ประสิทธิภาพ ละก้อ มีจุดอ่อนสำคัญของ Nehalem ตอนนี้อยู่ นั่นคือ

ราคา

สุดท้ายนี้ ผมวิเคราห์ตาม หลักความคิดของผมนะครับ ประกอบการตัดสินใจที่จะซื้อ Core i7

อยากบอกว่า ถ้าเงินถึง คุณซื้อตัวนี้ไปเลย

ซื้อ Intel เหมือนได้ใช้ AMD ผมพูดไม่ผิดหรอก มัน เป็นรุ่นปรับปรุงต่อยอด ซึ่ง ถ้าใน รหัส Gen CPU รุ่นต่อไป เขาจะไม่ใช้ สถาปัตยกรรมตัวนี้แล้ว สมควรซื้อไว้แล้วครับ ตัวนี้



ผมแนะนำ เนฮาเลม เพราะ มัน เป็นรุ่นที่ปรับปรุง สุดๆแล้ว


ต่อไป CPU New Gen ที่ชื่อ เวสเมเร่

คงใช้สถาปัตยกรรมใหม่ไปแล้ว แนะนำ ให้เปลี่ยน CPU เมื่อ Intel ลง ที่ "TOCK" นะครับ จะได้คุ้มที่สุด

QPI Vs FSB

สังเกตดูคงจะสงสัยซิครับว่า ตัวเลข FSB มากกว่า QPI แล้วทำไม Intel ถึงเลือกใช้ QPI ลองสังเกต ตารางบรรทัดสุดท้ายซิ มันใช้บัสแบบไหน อิอิ

Quick Path Interconnect (QPI) was previously known as CSI. Bloomfield will be paired with an external Input/Output Hub (similar to A64) connected via QPI that allows dual PCIE2 16x video cards.

LGA1160 might be LGA715, but that doesn't really matter. Just know that it's different from LGA1366 that's required for Bloomfield and triple channel memory.

จริงๆ ht ของ intel ก็มีมาตลอดนะคะ แต่มันไปอยู่ในรุ่น พวก (QX) (EX) เนี่ยแหละ 2Thread ต่อ Core เหมือนกัน แต่ แพง... QX9750 ห้าหมื่นมั้ง ตอนนี้ หวังว่าราคาคงไม่ใกล้กัน.....
