1600FSB support DDR3
Just weeks after Nvidia lunches its Nforce 780i the first chipset to support Triple SLI, Nvidia will follow with a DDR3 version of the same thing.
Nforce 790i is on the track for January announcement and this new chipset will bring two unique features, support for FSB 1600FSB CPUs such as QX9770 and DDR3 memory.
This will make Nforce 790i a real competitor to Intel's X48 that is scheduled for announcement at the same time. DDR3 is still overpriced but people like the sound of 1800 DDR3 speed but unfortunately this super high speed doesnt really translates to the real world performance.
Nforce 780i should support FSB 1600 CPUs or CPU as a matter a fact but you will have to overclock the board as officially Nforce 780i as well as X38 chipsets are not suppose to go over FSB1333.
