Since it isn't showing Nvidia any love these days, Biostar has begun to shift its affection towards AMD and its graphics business. On that note, the Taiwanese company has announced the VA4895NDG2 aka its own Radeon HD 4890. Seen below, the RV790-powered card has 800 Stream Processors, a 256-bit memory interface, DirectX 10.1 and CrossFireX support, and a dual-slot cooler.
Keeping the reference design untouched, Biostar's HD 4890 has a GPU frequency of 850 MHz and its 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3900 MHz. The card's price or retail release date have not confirmed but if we were to guess, under $240 and by the end of the month.
