Sapphire has now unveiled the latest addition to its Toxic family of graphics cards. The Radeon HD 4870 Toxic is powered by the 1 TeraFlop-surpassing 55nm RV770 chip and is equipped with a Vapor-X cooling system. Taking up two slots, the cooler makes use of the Vapour Chamber technology and features a thermally-controlled fan and three copper heatpipes. Given the enhanced cooling solution, the new Toxic model is factory-overclocked and has a 780 MHz GPU (750 MHz stock) and 512MB GDDR5 memory at 4000 MHz (3600 MHz).
The new card offers the power of 800 Stream Processors, has DirectX 10.1 and CrossFireX support, a PCI-Express 2.0 interface and dual-DVI connectivity. No word on pricing or retail availability yet.
