While waiting for the competition to catch up to its 2TB hard drive, Western Digital has decided to spice its product offer a bit by introducing a 808.8GB drive. Since 8 is considered a lucky number in China, the new Caviar Green HDD is aimed at this specific market but it would certainly sell in other zones too as it features low power consumption, a working speed of 7200 RPM, 32MB of buffer memory and a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface.
The drive costs just about $77.
