I'm planning tobuy a new computer very soon, maybe tomorrow or day after..what do you guys think?

I will overclock..and in future I plan to get Quad Core and Geforce 8800GTX ..but not now..i get later when price is cheaper! (so i need better memory and power supply now maybe?) please look :

CPU: Core 2 Duo E6420 - 7,290 Baht
Motherboard: GA-965P-DS4 - 6,290 Baht
RAM: 2x 1GB Corsair TWINX XMS2 PC6400 DDR 800Mhz - 7,490 Baht <-- Is this good ram to overclock? IS Geil or G.Skill better? or maybe Crucial or Mushkin? please advice
Graphics: Geforce 7600GT 256MB - 5,800 Baht <-- Maybe I can get better for same price? What do you suggest?
Hard Drive: 320GB Barracuda 7200 ST3320620AS SATA 2 - 3,690 Baht
Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-1814BLT - 1,490 Baht
Case: Lian-Li PC-G7 - 2,990 Baht
Power Supply: Enermax ELT500AWT 500W 110V-220V (Switch) "Liberty" ATX12V - 4,490 Baht
Heatsink: ZALMAN CNPS9700NT - 2,450 Baht <-- but his is very expensive no? Maybe Scythe is better?
Thermal Grease: Arctic Cooling MX-1 - 350 Baht.

TOTAL: 42,330 Baht

So what do you guys think? Could you make something better in that pirce? Or do you know better price for those items? I would be very glad if you can help me! (you can reply in Thai na..I can read )

คุณ oc ด้วยหรือป่าวอะคับ ถ้าไม่ oc แนะนำว่า ลดบอร์ด และลดแรม ใช้แบบทั่วๆไปดีกว่า ถ้าแค่เล่นเกมส์ เอาไปเพิ่มการ์ดจอดีกว่าคับ

Okay, let me tell you this: Actually, I built this specs with OSx86 (hackintosh) compatibility in mind..right now Geforce 8xxx series is not supported in OSx86..so thats why i have to get 7xxx series. (Don't tell me to get a mac cause it's too expensive, hehe). But yes I will overclock, and play games also. But I will upgrade to Geforce8800 later when OSx86 supports it.

I want to get DS4 because of the silent heatpipe..my room can get very hot and I don't open A/C very much..so i think i need some extra cooling..that's why.

What do you think of the performance of the specs?

ถ้าแบบนั้นแล้วในราคานี้ ลองดูเมนบอร์ด DFI Dark Edition ดูสิคับ oc แรงสุดๆ แต่ไม่มี slilent sink นะ แล้วแต่รัก แล้วแต่ชอบเลยคับ ถ้าต้องการ silent sink ก็ตามนั้นเลย คุ้มแล้วคับ

Yes I think that DFI board is very nice..but I don't think it's compatible with OSx86.

But what do you think about power supply? Is 500W too much? or too little?

I want people to tell me how the other parts of my spec are Are they good? Can overclock well? Should I change my RAM or something? Is the price too expensive? Can you get cheaper for me?

cpu OC ไปเล่นตัว e4400 ดีกว่าครับประหยัดกว่า ลากได้ไกลกว่า
vga 7900gs คุ้มกว่าเยอะ หรือถ้าเกินงบ หามือสองตามบอร์ดน่าจะยังมีคนปล่อยนะ
psu ผมว่า ok แล้วครับ ถ้าในอนาคตมีโครงการที่จะเปลี่ยนไปเล่น quad core กับ 8800

ส่วน mb ผมไม่ค่อยรู้เรื่อง os ของ mac ครับรอท่านอื่นมาตอบละกัน

ผมอ่านอังกฤษออกแต่พิมพ์ไม่ค่อยเป็น - -

ผมคิดว่า cpu กับ mainboard จขกท. คงจะเลือกที่มันใช้กับ osx ( ป่าววะ ) ได้แล้ว
การ์ดจอน่าจะเป็น 7900GS ราคา 6000 นิด ๆ จะดีกว่าค่อนข้างเยอะ
PSU ถ้าจะรองรับ overclock กับ 8800GTX 500w คิดว่าไม่พอ ถ้าจะใช้ enermax มันก็แพง แพ๊ง แพง ลองดูของยี่ห้ออื่น coolermaster igreen 600w ราคา 5000 กว่าบาทมั้ง จ่ายไฟค่อนข้างนิ่งเหมือนกัน

แรมที่มันมีคำว่า TWINX กับไม่มี มันต่างกันเปล่าอะ แต่มันให้ 2 ตัวเหมือนกัน XMS2 เหมือนกัน ราคามันเหลือ 5200 แล้วอะ ใน www.thanni.com แต่ของหมด O_o ที่เห็น ๆ มา geil ultra ก็ o/c ได้ดีเหมือนกัน

heatsink scythe andy samurai กำลังมาแรง แล้วเปลี่ยนพัดลมเป็นรอบสูง น่าจะดีกว่า

ใช้ ds3 ก็ได้นะครับ andy มันช่วยเป่าบอร์ดด้วย
