อยากเปิด 3 หัวเป็น 4 หัวไปทำไม

Most 3X's have their 4th core disabled due to tdp. The 95W 3X's, with the 4th core, will require more than 95W. The question then becomes what voltage increase price do you get the 4th core. Killing an otherwise good 3X in under 2 years could turn the bargain into a nightmare for some. I strongly suggest anyone attempting this to first note your 3X's voltage. If the 4th core's voltage causes an increases by more than 10% without question set the CPU back to a 3X. On a stock heatsink and fan 6% isn't advised.

I have used AMD since K6II until Phenom II. Now I decide in Penom II X3 720 BE for
game & OC, I think AMD good for that more than Intel and it took “Gold Award” from many CPU review.

I have ever seen your comment for turn 3 core into 4 core (X3 710) at Tom’s hardware guide.

not 100% capable and bad manufacturing product of AMD.
I think if u run 3 core into 4 core in normal use full, it no problem(perhaps it more capable)
But when u run in full load in game or OC at a long time. Is it too risk, who can tell me.
However it isn’t necessary open into 4 core but it is “Curiosity of mankind”.

Absolutely sure, the most of people have "Curiosity of mankind"
all new thing it will be interesting and exciting.

In case of x3 can be enable to x4 is very very interesting that all overclocker has never seen before. Someone try to test someone try to change and etc... for learning about something they need and that is their business.

For you, I think you should be create the good topic that is a question,

เพิ่ม Core มันก็ต้องกินไฟเพิ่มเป็นของธรรมดา
เพิ่ม Core เพิ่มมันก็ต้องร้อนกว่าเป็นของธรรมดา
ผมว่าเรื่องแบบนี้ มันไม่ใช่เรื่องใหญ่สำหรับชาว OCZ อยู่แล้ว (เห็นเพิ่มไฟกันสนุกสนานเลย อิอิอิ)


AMD ทำงานง่ายๆ ที่จะเปลี่ยนจาก X4 ลดคอร์มาเป็น X3 โดยไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนอะไรมาก แค่ปิดคอร์แล้วเปลี่ยนชื่อเท่านััน ไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่ายมาก (ไม่ต้องเปิดสายการผลิตใหม่สำหรับ X3 โดยตรง) แต่สามารถลดราคามาแข่งกับตัวล่างๆ ได้ แล้วจะทำให้กินไฟน้อยกว่า X4 อีกด้วย

คนที่รู้จุดนี้ ก็สามารถแก้ไขให้มันกลับมาทำงานเป็น X4 คอร์เหมือนเดิมได้ อันนี้มันไม่ใช่เรื่องแปลก

เหมือน CPU รุ่นก่อนๆ ของ AMD ที่ล็อกตัวคูณ แล้วสามารถเชื่อมจุดบางจุดเพื่อปลดล็อคตัวคูณ แล้วเพิ่มตัวคูณได้

ทุกอย่างอาจจะเป็นที่การจงใจของ AMD (เพื่อการตลาด) หรือการคาดไม่ถึงว่าจะมีคนจับผิดได้ว่าแอบปิดคอร์ ก็แล้วแต่

PhenomII X3 ที่เปิดเป็น 4 คอร์ ก็สมควรที่จะกินไฟ และ มีความร้อน เท่ากัน PhenomII X4 แท้ (ถือว่าไม่แปลกครับ)
