well I have a 8500 nvidia gt graffic card installed on my PC,.. I got this card about 4 months ago, and I've never had this problem...the problem started 5 days ago, when I was lookinf for free software on the google, then I clicked in one link, and seconds later my computer crashed!!!....I don't know if this has something to do with my problem, Since that day my computer wasn't running good...I don't think is a virus because I've passed already the AVG antivirus software to my hard disk, and it didn't find any virus, so I have no Idea what's going on with my computer,...I need help please..!!!!Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
No, this means that the memory is being written out so that it can be analyzed by someone that knows how. Usually, this will start happening if some piece of hardware is failing or if you have a bad driver. Video cards commonly entertain themselves by causing BSODs (blue screen of death). Have you installed *any* new hardware lately? If so, that's the likely culprit. If this has only been happening for a very short time, you might want to try a system restore (Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore) and try to go back to a point in time when it was working (I recommend you do not go back more than a few days, however, unless you're really desperate). If you don't already have one, first focus on getting a good backup of your data before you do anything (copy to an external hard drive, burn a DVD, anything you can get to work)! Good luck!I had exactly the same message as you, it was caused by my graphics card, which apeared either to be broken or wrong drivers. even upgrading the driver caused severe problems, I took out my ati radeon x1650 pro that was causing the problem and replaced it with my ddr fx550 geforce and haven't had the problem anymore. If you want error free without blue screen i recommend buying graphics card exactly the same ddr speed as that of motherboard.
Could be a memory problem but more likely its a driver issue. I suspect your video card or sound card. Go into device manager and uninstall both of them. Add them back one at a time and see when the problem comes back. When the problem comes back it was the one you last loaded. Now go and find the latest driver for it and update to it.
